Yours, with love.

I hope you find love— the gentle kind. The kind that makes you snuggle close to your pillow at night, the kind that softly caresses your cheek, the kind that makes you smile in your sleep. I hope you fall in love easily, without pressure, without fear, like a swift needle it pierces your skin and causes no blood clots. If you love then, I hope it’s so comforting that you sigh in contentment, I hope you whistle some old Bollywood tune in the shower. I hope your love is like a warm blanket on a cold night, tender and lush. I hope your love heals and your love mends broken fractures of yours and his, I hope you give and receive for the first time ever— you truly receive affection worth your weight in gold. I hope you belong, I hope he belongs with you. I hope the million jagged lines near your pinky don’t scare you. I hope you don’t scare him. I hope you fall headfirst and he catches you and I hope, oh to God I hope you love the incandescent, everlasting, pure love you read about. Oh to God I hope one day you find the love you read about.
