Does the star falling from the sky
Fear for her life—
Fear for what comes next ?
The moment the green Earth hits her —
In solid rock formations,
In hard crystalline blocks of ice—
How will she look ?
Broken from her comfort,
Her starry nights,
Out on a cold, desert plain,
Alone.
Maybe shattered into specks of dust,
How much can it bear—
Does it fear ?
Or does the earth fear it—
When She sees her fall,
A head first collision,
How will that inevitable crater look :
Will it hurt ?
Will the pain subside—
Quickly, like an injection,
Or remain like a broken heart —
And I sit here and think
If I’m the earth or the star.
