You stepped
Into rolling waters,
And see glittering pearly drops
Crash against your cracked feet,
Utter silence—
In your mind.
No voice measures your worth,
No calamitous vigil
Threatens to shake your will.
Escape, escape, escape—
Swim into the cobalt blue.
Leave those dark navy nights,
Swim into neverland.
If all you could do—
Was stand and breathe this
Salty essence, wild thunder
If all you did was—
Let these waves hit your soul,
Maybe you could finally survive.
